ONE BARN, ONE BUILD
August 17, 2017
The Vanderhey Barn, located in Forest Grove, Oregon, has been in the family since 1913. The working farm has undergone numerous changes, including hand moving the original hop house in 1919, and converting the building to a certified cow barn to produce Grade A milk. The 1962 Columbus Day Storm blew off a large portion of the cow barn roof off into the property’s primary farmhouse, both of which have since been repaired. The Vanderhey Barn is built from heritage Doug Fir and has high character hand hewn beams throughout the structure.
