ONE BARN, ONE BUILD

Each stick of wood that we reclaim or salvage has a story to tell and the One Barn, One Build initiative at Salvage Works has developed to allow those stories to continue growing long past deconstruction.

The idea is simple - Deconstruct beautiful Pacific Northwest heritage barns that are at risk of being destroyed, visually document the structures as we visit them, engage an historian to research the backstory of the buildings, and then match the right teams with each barn to incorporate the reclaimed material into innovative “living narrative” design projects.

Part green design, part visual storytelling and part historical research, each of our One Barn, One Build projects is truly one-of-a-kind.
