SALVAGE WORKS SIGNATURE TABLES

JOURNAL

August 21, 2017

We’ve made hundreds of tables over the years. Customers say “We get a lot of compliments on our table.  We always tell people we got it from Salvage Works and that the wood came from…”  The talented folks in our Custom Furniture Wood Shop turn our reclaimed heritage wood into heirloom quality pieces that will last a lifetime.  Each of our signature furniture lines is available in classic dining table or kitchen  sizes, with optional matching benches, or in custom sizes to fit your unique space.  Our signature tables use reclaimed heritage wood in different ways to give you a one-of-a-kind look for your home or business.  Named after the streets in our historic North Portland neighborhood, Kenton, you can now take a bit of the Pacific Northwest home with you.

The Kenton - This is our take on the classic farm table. Our craftsmen maintain the character and patina of the wood, showcasing original mill marks and highlighting the history of the wood.  Oxidized nail holes and other voids are filled for a smooth surface.  A traditional, 4 leg and skirt wood base made from beams finish the look.

The Argyle - This table has elegant lines and lighter tones for a refined approach to reclaimed heritage wood. In the case of the Argyle, our craftsmen bring the bright, interior color to the surface for a lovely light color.  A 4 leg and skirt wood base with tapered legs complete the polished style of this table.

The Columbia - This modern table has an industrial feel, with a steel box base and a substantial top. It marries the warmth of wood with the cool edge of steel, creating a very contemporary look. Our reclaimed heritage wood pairs well with steel, bringing out the natural beauty of both materials.

The Lombard - Combining the reclaimed heritage wood top of a classic farm table with tapered legs updates a classic look. As with The Kenton, our craftsmen maintain the character and patina of the wood, showcasing original mill marks and highlighting the history of the wood.  Oxidized nail holes and other voids are filled for a smooth surface.

All the Salvage Works signature tables are made from reclaimed heritage Douglas Fir and finished with either a water based polyurethane or an OSMO Polyx Oil.  While these four tables represent our signature lines, you can choose to mix and match bases and tops as well.  For a custom quote, please contact our Custom Furniture Estimator, Sarah LoPresti at sarah@salvageworkspd.com.  Lead time for custom projects is generally 4-6 weeks.
