The awesome historic neighborhood of North Portland that we call home, Kenton, is hosting a mighty neighborhood garage sale on Saturday September 8th, 9 am - 3 pm. Over 100 sales! We’re excited to participate, offering up inventory overstock, shop seconds, hidden treasures and tools. In addition, EVERYTHING in the store is 10% off that day.
While you’re here, cruising garage sales and scoring amazing finds, take a minute to enjoy downtown Kenton and visit some great stores and restaurants and take in all the Salvage Works material found throughout this friendly neighborhood.
Start with coffee. Posies Cafe or Prince Coffee? Both have lovely tables, shelves, planters and walls from Salvage Works.
Bringing a pet? Check out Kenton Animal Hospital. Our material is throughout and the amazing vets who run the place take special care of all the neighborhood fuzzy friends.
Take a break. Choose a snack off the Salvage Works made specials board at Parkside and see how our material makes yummy found sound even tastier.
Browse. Ooh and ahh over the gorgeous handmade ceramics and jewelry at Mantel. The shelves and cash stand were made with Salvage Works wood, and of course, the mantel! Head over to Kenton Antiques for your fix of mid century and see our wood on the walls. Pick up a Kenton tee shirt at Little Red Press and find everything you never knew you needed at Give & Take.
Take a spin. Speck Records rocks the vinyl. Find your dream record!
Shop for the house. Building or remodeling? Stop by the Surface Store and check out their amazing showroom filled with Salvage Works material and furniture.
Relax. Take a stroll through Bamboo Craftsman demonstration garden, walk to the top of their tree fort and gaze at the beauty of Kenton Park.
Take a selfie. No visit to Kenton is complete without a photo op at the newly restored Paul Bunyan. Hundreds of volunteer hours went into the fundraising for the restoration of this neighborhood icon, including many, many Salvage Works and Figure Plant staff hours.
Have a drink. Belly up the Salvage Works bar at Swift and Union and order a cold one. Don’t forget the bacon jam!
